How it works
From job description to interview, in four steps
There is no AI to train. Your first CV scores come from applicants you already have.
- 1
Paste the job description
AI turns it into a list of requirements and marks the must-haves your advert asks for. You can edit the list at any time.
- No description yet? AI can write one from a few notes.
- AI suggests clearer requirements. You accept or ignore each one.
- A colleague can review the description through a link, with no account.
- Every version is kept, so a score can always be traced to the words behind it.
- 2
Bring in your applicants
Choose the months, and Recrutar brings in everyone who applied for the role on your ATS. You can include earlier postings of the same role.
- A candidate who applied more than once is one candidate, not several.
- You see how many applications came in, and any that could not.
- Need more? Search your candidate database, or run an external search for as many candidates as you choose.
- If Recrutar does not connect to your ATS yet, you can add CVs by hand.
- 3
Score every CV
Every candidate gets a CV score against the role’s requirements, with the line from their CV behind each one.
- AI reads each CV once. The score is then worked out from your requirements, the same way for every candidate.
- A CV that could not be read stays on the list, below the others, with a note.
- Each role has its own CV screener minimum score, so a teacher and a receptionist are not held to the same number.
- Filters use facts about the work only, and missing information never filters anyone out.
- 4
Interview, then move candidates on
Candidates who pass the CV screener can take a short AI interview or an online test. Autopilot moves candidates to the next round for you.
- Each scored question comes from one of your requirements.
- Only what candidates say is scored. Never their tone, accent or appearance.
- A blank test answer counts as wrong, and candidates are told so before they start.
- If a must-have answer is weak, the result waits for you, whatever the score.
- By default, invitations and rejection emails wait for you to approve them.
AI and people
What AI does, and what it does not
AI reads CVs and job descriptions, and runs the interviews. Fixed rules work out the scores. A person decides who is hired.
Fixed rules work out the score
The score comes from which of your requirements a CV meets, worked out the same way for every candidate. AI may suggest that a CV meets a requirement the rules missed, but a suggestion never changes a score or the order.
A guess is never a Meets
If a CV suggests a skill without naming it, the most it can get is Partly meets. Meets needs the CV’s own words. “Planned the Year 9 scheme of work” can only partly meet “curriculum planning”.
The same CV gets the same score
Scoring the same CV against the same requirements gives the same result every time, so any score can be checked later.
People make the decisions that matter
Autopilot only moves candidates forward, and the AI interviewer decides nothing. A person decides who is hired. Rejecting is a person’s decision too, unless you switch on automatic rejection.
Try it on a role you are hiring for
Bring a job description. In a 45-minute demo, you will see CVs scored against it.
